Our Vantage Point… behind rainy glass.

Rain from the interior of the shop, I like the color pallet, shot to include only it will be taken from the outside going in

“It may not always be visible from our vantage point, but God is in control of all things, careful to provide for us despite our offenses and those of others around us.  Would the One who created us out of sheer love leave us to push through our struggles on our own?” ~Magnificat {Catholic Daily Devotional}

Vantage point.

Like a camera lens or a skyscraping view

or teensy person only able to look up

or a window that is speckled with the raindrops making the world appear hazy

or……

what is your vantage point?

photo by RLT Photography in Layton, Utah. LOVE this vantage point!

I join you from a fancy-so-schmancy Starbucks a block from our new home. My soul is doing a happy dance ladies and gentlemen– a bonefied- Happy feet- penguin style- HAPPY DANCE.

"Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world." -Maria Montessori. Lagos, Nigeria

Me and my fella made it!  A few bumps in the road but we were welcomed into the Queen city with open arms… or shall i say arms full of boxes. When was the last time that joy welled deep and you wanted to just dance, literally or with another means?

 Rain pours, wind is blowing the potted plants ary. This weather- a picture of Seattle I imagine, is for me a picture of Boone. A sleepy mountain town that pours the wet stuff – snow Oct- April and rain the rest of the months.Who knew such a seemingly crummy weather could make you feel like you just a batch of warm towels out of the dryer.

It is easy to praise on top of the mountain but may i just encourage you that I feel as though i am being “carefully provided despite our offenses and those of others around us” A bull headed women blundering through most conversations is being tenderly wooed back to the sound of her Savior. He is reminding me that he is Good. I feel obliged to give a disclaimer about how God is good regardless of circumstance but frankly i don’t want to. He is GOOD right now because he has allowed an opportunity to be opened for me and my darlin fella, he is GOOD because I am driving distance to those I love and he is GOOD because he knows what WE need. He is GOOD because a dear friend got into an accident last night and not only did he spare her life he allowed me and Evan to join her in the hospital.

May we see our vantage point and see it change…..

About RootsSinkDeep

Words to keyboard, not quite the same as pen to paper, but for now in a season of flurry and tiny chaos, this will do. Though I long for the feel of graphite under hand I am grateful for fingers that work the same. May you join me as I seek to find joy in the ordinary?
